Value Pumpkins
Second grade is blowing me away with their shading on their value pumpkins. We started by drawing a simple pumpkin outline with segments. Then we discussed value and color. We began shading each segment from light to dark, so far the pumpkins are turning out phenomenal.

After reading Psalm 100:3 and finding the symbolism between followers as sheep, and Jesus as the Shepard; we are making are own sheep. We have been using the Sheep Paintings of Eli Halpin as inspiration. Students are applying her use of repetition to produce Rhythm and Unity in their Sheep.
